The Gullah are a unique and special people born of isolation on the southeastern sea islands. The way of life of this authentic people along the Gullah Geechee Cultural Corridor is being threatened by the progressive changes to the environment and way of life. We are poised to have one of America's most authentic cultures and heritage lost to future generations due to rapid progressive changes and the resulting loss of land and migration. Gullah Art by Renee is striving to preserve this unique culture through visual folk art, and you can also help to maintain this legacy through your support.
Visual art is a way we can preserve our culture and heritage that touches all Americans! Please support the mission of keeping Gullah/Geechee culture alive through the arts! Your kind donations given here will support the purchase of art materials and painting supplies for education on the Gullah culture through visual art, and the spoken language. Thank you for giving! Oonha will be blessed!
